Time goes very fast and we are now on the middle of the course BYOD for Mobile Learning. Along these days some of the participants have started to walk around and they have done two simple tasks in order to focus their attention on the aim and topic of the NOOC.

First of all participants have done a  SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) about the use of this model in your school. A great example of it was SWOT analysis for CEIP Lope de Vega (Almería) by Julio HInojo.

The other task was a picture sharing in which the participants have to show a good use of the BYOD model. An example of it was Rosa Saló Sagué's:

My students can occasionally use their own devices. We combine them with the school computers but the computer lab is not always available #BYOD_INTEF. https://t.co/Fdf55iSiZz pic.twitter.com/MhOHTsl46y

Tomorrow, Tuesday 13th of November  we will have our Live Event. It will be a Twitter Chat: BYOD at school, main challenges in which everybody is invited to discuss about different topics like:

  • What is the main advantage you find in a BYOD program?
  • Have you ever tried to implement a BYOD program in your school?
  • What is your opinon about the use of smartphones into the classroom? For or against, and how to use it?
  • How can you work with families the idea of a BYOD program into the class?

It will begin at  8 o’clock (UTC+1) and we will be tweeting around an hour by using the hashtag of the NOOC #BYOD_INTEF. Until that moment you can leave your questions in the different social networks.
